Dryer Vent Cleaning

Safety and performance — a cleaning that actually makes a difference

Lint and residue that build up in your dryer's exhaust vent slow down drying, drive up your electricity bill, and are one of the leading causes of residential fires. Belglass, a Beau-Frère à Louer division, sends in qualified technicians with professional equipment: inspection, vacuuming, mechanical brushing, exterior vent check, and a service report. Service available in Montreal, Laval, North Shore, South Shore, and the Laurentians.

What our service includes

  • Full vent inspection by camera or visual check (detecting blockages, bends, lengths)
  • Deep cleaning by vacuuming and mechanical brushing
  • Exterior vent check and cleaning
  • Performance optimization: faster drying, energy savings
  • Post-service report with before/after photos and maintenance recommendations
Brother-in-law transparency: if the vent has several complex bends or a hard-to-reach outlet (e.g., rooftop, 2nd floor), we let you know before starting — the time may be slightly longer and you'll know upfront.

Frequently asked questions

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

At least once a year for regular use. If you use your dryer frequently or the vent is long with several bends, cleaning every 1 to 2 years is recommended. In condos with a rooftop outlet, it's often annual.

What are the signs my vent needs cleaning?

Clothes take longer and longer to dry, the dryer gets very hot to the touch, a burning or musty smell comes from it, or you see lint around the exterior outlet. If you notice any of these signs, act quickly.

Do you serve multi-unit buildings and condos?

Yes — we offer preferred rates for groups of multiple units during a single visit. Contact us for a package tailored to your building.

Do you clean rooftop vents as well?

Yes — we check and clean the exterior outlet regardless of its location (wall, roof, balcony). If access is complex, we let you know when you book.
